    dripping drain off on vented central heating

    If a drain off valve is leaking on a vented central heating system, due to not shutting off. As the washer has perished. Has anyone had success in swapping the inners over in this without draining down, if quick?

    Small leak on pushfit waste

    So pushfit waste fittings usually leak I'd there not pushed all the way in? Had one with a small leak on it but wasn't pushed all the way home. Pushing it fully in cured the small leak.

    If fitting a kitchen sink tap(single flow) were the water mixes in the tap body. If mains cold and gravity fed hot water. Do I need to put single check valves on both the hot and cold supply's to the sink?

    turing of gravity hot water

    Do most people tend to trust the gate valve on the cold feed to a hot water cylinder will turn off and back on again, when wanting to work on the hot pipework, swapping a bath tap no isos. Or turn the cold mains off and drain all tank.

    heat outpit of a 24kw boiler

    Can anyone help me with the heat output of a 24kw combi boiler. It says in the ideal manual Central heating (CH) output is fully modulating with a range of: 24 4.8 to 24.2kW (16,500 to 82,600 Btu/h) Does that sound right? Its for my NVQ Level 3 portfolio.

    Bender hook digging in to pipe

    The hook on my Irvin Hilmor bender is slightly digging in to the pipe when pulling a bend. If I put insulation tape on the hook it stops this. Any one had this problem before?

    Does the compression nut on a rad valve need to be all the way on to the rad tail? Or can it just be on just over the olives depth? Have one that the pipes are exiting the wall and are 5/10mm out
