Any recommendations other than the usual clear ones that seem too rigid most times?
I’ve tried the white rubber ones as well but sometimes they don’t allow the pipe to insert fully.
I have purchased 2 x GROHE Flushing Cistern Solo 0.82 M 38691000
I am pleased with them for the most part and they replace existing Grohe cisterns that were in place for 14 years prior. However, these new ones appear to shut off the water supply very quickly after filling. Whilst the rapid...
Hi guys
I’ve tried to help out an old neighbour tonight with his toilet (low level cistern) as it had stopped flushing.
On inspection it was the diaphragm had split so I’d managed to get a new one, brilliant.
Problem is though, the existing syphon didn’t have a washer between the syphon and...
Any help greatly appreciated.
It appears that every time i flush the toilet the cistern fills up then overflows back in to the toilet. This can last for 2 minutes or is continually running. I have replaced the cistern dual valve as it was very loose and parts had broken off it and it wasn't a...
Hello I’m trying to find a replacement flush button but although the thread looks like a siamp I don’t think it is. I found what I thought was the correct button but it didn’t have a strike bar which should fit in a rectangle hole in the centre of the top thread. I’m wondering if that bit was...
Leaking toilet - needs replacement flush valve but existing screws direct into cistern not fixed with nurt and seal.
How do I get this type of valve or is the thread size the same as the spigot and nut type so I get one of the latter and dispose of the nut & seal?
With a toilet fit to a concealed cistern vanity were the front panel slides up if you need access it at later date and fitting
Is it advisable to put a small bead of silicone between were the top of the pan sits against the vanity?
Hello,
I have to replace the flush valve and/or the washer but unfortunately it's inside the vanity unit.
The only way is removing the toilet.
I turned the screw on the cistern pipe to stop the water.
I removed all the silicon around the toilet, now I can easily lift up the Front panel but...
I have a pneumatic concealed cistern behind a removable vanity panel. I pulled the panel off to investigate a dull knocking noise when the cistern is coming to nearly full, I haven't ascertained what this might be as yet, I wondered if it was the cold water pipes knocking (as in water hammer)...
I have bought a cistern lever that is described as having 3/8" bush According to the salesperson, the 3/8" refers to the diameter of the large white plastic threaded shaft which passes through the hole in the cistern.
But when I measure the diameter of this large white plastic threaded shaft...
I have a cracked close coupled toilet cistern. It's an Armitage Shanks Tiffany 9776, which I believe has been discontinued. The water feed is on the bottom right hand side of the cistern. Would there be a cistern with which I could replace it?
My toilet flush valve is continually draining (the rubber seal has perished) . . . I'd be grateful if someone could give me a link to parts that will fit in there and replace the current valves?
Suddenly my downstairs toilet stopped filling this week, I suspected a blockage in the filter or cistern itself, however after removal of everything it appears that there is no water coming in, its mains fed and no sign of leak anywhere , we have checked the isolation valve and its not faulty...
I need to adjust the large flush button because water continues to run after the cistern has filled up and the button does not return to its proper position, it stays depressed. The small flush button is working OK.
In which direction does the dual flush operating plate need to slide/be moved?
Hello All,
Was looking for some innovative ideas from you all.😊
I’m renovating a bathroom in a flat.
The soil, hot & cold water pipe runs stops me from butting the new toilet cisten flush to the wall. I was hoping to use a flexible waste to help me get closer but the pipes stop this option. The...
