Hi
I have come to a straxgas theme 18 fire today and it needs replacing, has anyone got any good tips for making a 16" fire fit into the hole nicely. Don't do fires that much so but out of touch and looking for some advice.
on a side note I have been to a big country house with 3 gas stoves with no data badge or info, I know your not ment to do anything if you can't check your findings but would you just turn them off?
thanks Martyn.

do you not have any information on the stove? not even a make that you can call the manufacturer with? if not I would do all visuals and relevant checks and AR it if all seems ok - that's my take.

Cant comment on the fire, hate fires even though I hold it.

Get some slate filler pieces and some marble adhesive to shrink opening. I presume your putting in a convector type box and see if the fire Manu can make the frame bigger to cover the filler pieces
Wouldn't touch the stoves, could need ventilation etc etc
