My 'new' toilet did not come with any instructions.
I asked the 2 fitters (the one who installed it, and the second one who replaced the faulty pan) what the two buttons did. I was aware that this should operate a half-flush and a full flush, but did not know which button or which button combination should do what ....
I got 2 responses, from the first that "...the small button is only there to help the larger button pop out ... and no it wasn't a 2-button flush system since there was only one cable from the panel"
The second statement was "...you need to press both buttons together to get the larger flush"
The cistern and panel seem to correspond to a Macdee cistern and dual button panel (duo-compact cistern and front access fascia). The panel has one small button surrounded by a larger button.
I emailed Macdee ... and got zero response.
ps ... I cannot tell any difference in flush volumes between pressing the small button, pressing the larger button and pressing both buttons ... so maybe I have been short-changed on the cistern?
cheers!
