2 port valve on manual

is it ok to leave a 2 port valve on manual and turn boiler on and off as needed until valve replaced

i wouldnt use it like that for long heating you could get away with but hot water i wouldnt

Over the weekend is fine. Is it the valve body or head? If it's the motor burnt out you can get the synchronous motor replacement cheaper than the whole valve.
