Went to look at a job tonight.. when looking at the system it had a 3 port underneath the boiler and a 2 port just before the vented cylinder.. wtf?!

Why would that be?
 
or cylinders getting to hot and doesnt want to switch to s plan
 
Def vented.. its a standard gravity system.
 
Are you sure it was a vented cylinder Jay ? if unvented the two port would be required.

First thing I thought when I clocked the 3-port after the 2-port but def a standard gravity system
