hi all. i need to change a 3 port valve for a customer which is easy enough but im wondering if anyone knows if there is a like for like swap, would be easier if i didnt have to adjust any pipework as it is very tight behind the cylinder.

im thinking honeywell v4073a. picture attached

thanks.

S/M - Honeywell
Blue - blue
Earth - earth
Orange - orange
Yellow - white
White - grey
Red - link to orange

hope this helps

The pipework is the same on these and will fit, BUT..........

Your pipes will need to come out from the wall by about 40mm
or so to allow for the new valve to connect to the pipes.

Yeah, pipes the same, obviously actuator will be on the top this time.

Is it linked to a switchmaster time clock? These can be a nightmare and would be worth changing if you can convince customer its a good idea

na dont think so think its a acl lifestyle thing . more modern than the 3 port valve . just to clarify the orange will now have orange and red together. i knew there was a extra wire with new 3 port.
thanks for the help will post results :)
