Hello,
Last year my radiators were getting warm even though the heating was off, I called in a plumber who said my 3 way valve was kaput, so he replaced it and said that it was probably due to me having my water temp too high, he turned it down. When he left, I turned it down even more with the thought, the lower the better - will save me money.
After the cold weather abated earlier this year, I turned my heating off, and found the same thing happening. The radiators were still getting hot even though the heating was off. I didn't want to have to call out a plumber again, so I just turned the radiators down to the little snowflake on them.
My question is simply will having a faulty three way valve make my gas bills rise throughout the year, or will it not make that much difference to the bill.
Many Thanks
