Hi
Hope someone can help me out.
My Central heating has not been working for a while.
I narrowed it down to the 3 port valve. Its a Sunvic 3 Port Valve.
It look fairly old, and I thought it was broken.
I took it off the top of the valve and turned the heating and hot water on and saw no movement. assumed it was broken.
However when I opened the electrical connection box that holds all of the electrical I found that there was a completely disconnected Live Cable inside. The blue one on the left.
Which I assume needs to be connected to something and is probably the cause of the problem.
I covered it in insulation tape to make it safe.
I also disconnected all of the cables going to the 3 port valve as I will probably change it for a new on anyway as it seems a little old.
Could someone advise if this being connected is the problem - pretty sure it is.
and if so should i be connecting it the second terminal point on the left hand side. This was the point it was hanging next too. But it would be a big assumption of me to connect a live wire into a system I don't understand fully.
