this is all very confusing and no one seems to have a definitive answer.
i signed up with skills centre last july and paid the sum on nearly 7.5 k and was told i would gain my c+g 6128 which would qualify me as a plumber. no mention of nvqs which i have just found out today but that isnt my main issue. i have been ringing around trying to find out more about getting into the industry and spoke to a company called summit skills who told me 6128 is worthless and i need 6129 to even be considered for nvqs level 2 and 3. can anyone clarify this? please only respond if you know 100% that your information is correct as i have had 3 different versions today and i feel sick as a parrot.
also skills centre have gone into liquidation and apparently i will now be completing my course through train4trades and will now be doing the 6129 so they say but they cannot transfer any of my work from the 6128 over and basically i will have to start again from scratch and the last year has been a waste of time. what is the diffrence between 6128 and 6129 and what are the next steps?
i have done 3 weeks practical and have achieved my bpec water regs and citb unvented certs as well as copper pipework and fitting, bathroom design and installation and sanitary ware.
