6129 goes into ?

Question: Hopefully someone can help

C&G 6129 once completed, how do you convert this into a NVQ 2, 6088/6089/6084 all been mentioned - whats the difference? can they be done while holding down a full time job? or is this set in stone that it is covered 40 hours a week

There are loads of plumbers etc that say that experience is key but the government are not offering apprenticeships and why would a 18 year lad/lady go into plumbing when they can work in a production factory for £300-400 which a bit better than £100 apprenticeship.

Also aint we going to have major problems in the future in that plumbers with experience retire but no youngsters come in?

upgrade it by adding a port folio of evidence and about 4 onsite visits. easy if working as a plumber

if you dont make the cut off point of dec this year u need to upgrade to the new diploma, dont know like anyone else what that will ential

Good to hear from you. Thanks for the info just wanted to know if the 6129 will lead to anything especially if working full-time. When will the info be out about the diploma etc. Is it worth asking someone in the trade as training providers may send you their way just to get more cash.

i think the info will just come out to everyone at same time, try the C&G website, may have info there
