you think bmw improved rovers? or rovers dropped to bmw standards?
i know loads of guys who worked the track at rover, and the only car that bmw did good on was the mini which was not a rover. In general bmw did what most large companies tend to do, take what bit they want a dump the leftovers down the drain.
it was 1992 that band d repranded its high end tools to dewalt name, getting facts confused so had a look at google. Still prefer milwakee gear myself, each to their own

this does not mean that dewalt tools are black and decker with a yellow case. LOL. Dewalt - professional, black and decker - diy. Same with milwaukee, milwaukee - professional, aeg - semi professional, ryobi - diy. the milwaukee and aeg line have the same parts inside alot of tools, so what? bosch have green tools that are pants, so what?
i agree with you that milwaukee stuff is great, i have loads of milwaukee tools.
my black and decker.....i mean dewalt 10.8v tools are better than my m12 tools (tool for tool), my 28v milwaukee stuff is better than my old 24v dewalt stuff. i dont dismiss one or the other, i like to try and compare.
I got a Milwaukee reciprocating saw to trial in 2001/2 and also the equivalent De Walt the Milwaukee came out streets ahead, used the drill driver and impact ever since, excellent gear. Got admit I have got an elu planer which I have had for over 20 years and that is a beast of a piece of kit. B&D was their parent company and they had a good name for professional tools.
