hi all,

is there anyone on here who lives within the Coventry / Bedworth or Nuneaton area who can help me. at the moment i have about 5 customers who are chasing me for works to be done at there homes, 2 boiler services ( 1 needs the expansion vessel recharging ) a gas fire install a, gas cooker & hob quote and guarantee fit, a cooker install. Although i have my level 3 C&G qualifications i have not amassed enough evidence in the field to be able to sit my gas safe test. thus resulting in me having to either turn the jobs down or spend weeks trying to get an engineer to help me, as i will not touch gas unqualified, (and gets a little embarrassing having to keep letting them down) i know we are at the time of year when a lot of engineers are busy however i have said before that i am more than happy to be able to tag along with someone just so i can build my portfolio up ask questions (and be asked as well to ensure i can deliver ) and to accept my work in preparation of the required test's.

if there is any there able to help me and are happy for a free pair of hands can you please inbox me in a PM please,

thanks

Go on the gas safe website: enter your postcode and you'll be shown those gas safe nearest to you, some five pages of GSR.
Their contact email is shown on their id page. I'd start by sending an email to those nearest, then change the postcode to one further away, but still in Coventry and do the same again. You may get a result.
In the last six months I've knocked back two guys, one from Cov, one from Brum, looking to take on my nipper as an apprentice, so pehaps there's help out there for you.
Problem is, they worry about you taking future work from them, so initial dialogue is going to be important in terms of your commitment to them, as no-one's going to help unless there's a return on their time and knowledge investment.

Just a thought.
