Hi
i have been asked to quote on adding an additional radiator to to house in their orangery of all places!.
Lady wants teed off the lounge through the wall.
Now I look and saw that this radiator plus one the other side of the wall in the kitchen (both quite large) are fed off the same f&r coming down inside wall. Both feed the rads i n microbore 8mm I think.
Now I have warned the lady that teeing off like she wants might upset the balance of the system and it may cause issues in getting hear to it or affecting one of the other rads. I said ideally it would best to come straight off the 22mm (I hope) under the floor in the bedroom upstairs and coming Down from there on 15mm.
She is not keen on that and seems to not believe/understand me when I explain.
Thoughts anyone

Get her to sign something saying it was her choice and any problems will incur extra costs

I would put it in - that's what she wants. You might have to balance the system when you are done with the rad.

I would just downright refuse. I'd tell her if it's me doing the job this is the way it's getting done, properly so that it will work. If you tee off of 8mm you won't have a cat in hells chance of it working unles you turn everything off. I'd be adding muppet tax onto the price as well.

I think this is the right way to go!!!!
