HI,

I would like to install an external water tap from the first floor to the ground, originating from the kitchen next to the washing machine with a cutout, would someone mind explaining what tools and bits I need please.

2m Copper pipe, 12/15mm?
copper Tap?
Cutoff tap ?
T Conector?
pipe cutter?
Thanks

Jet

If your running external, then the main consideration will be protection against frost damage. You have not mentioned anything about check valves or bonding, so I would leave it to a qualified person.

Ok, yes, thats one way. The other is the pleasure of learning to do some relatively simply projects yourself.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

Jet

Drill 22mm hole through wall. Insert 22 mm sleeve. Seal to brickwork.

Run school board brass clips down wall at 600mm intervals to tap postion

Fix wingback to wall.

Bend 15mm ish offset in tube fit in to wing back and sodder . Fasten clips did sodder elbow and tube so pie goes through sleeve and in doors.

Cut pipe so 20mm sticking through wall. Seal pipe to sleeve with mastic.

Fit 15mm tee so branch is connected to the tap and one port points up and one down. Fit drain off into the downward port and tube into upward. Sodder.

Connect double check valve then isolating valve. Ensuring that both valves are orientated with arrows pointing in direction of flow (down)

Then a bit more tube on to a compression tee on the cold water side.

Open valves and allow water to discharge from wingback.

Wrap 8 turns of lock tight 55 around thread on tap. Thread it into wingback until in correct position

Thinks that's it? .
