Hi all

Im a newbie so I apologise if this has been asked many times before.

Im looking at replacing 4 radiators in my house for some that give off more heat as the ones we have are either single or double panel with no convectors at all.

Sizes im looking at 400 x 1600 k2 (2 of these ) 600 x 1400 K2 and one 750 x 800 single panel for bathroom.

Ive been suggested I get K rads from local plumbers merchant total comes to approx £350 .

Whats your guys opinions on these rads or possible altenatives?

Not sure if there are any trustworthy online suppliers that could shave a few quid off.

Finally , what would my install costs likely be? The rads are same size so should be a straight forward swop for a plumber.

Thanks for any advice or recommendations you can suggest.

Many thanks

Jamie

cant really say over the internet, a plumber would have to come and do a visual and check and tell you whats best, getting info on the net like this is not going to really help we could advise you but every house-rooms are different, theres a few factors one would have to take into consideration, installation costs for a plumber would depend on what you wanted e.g rads in same place or moved etc, best bet if your going to get a professional in im sure they would Advise you on whats best, good luck.

Hello Jamie, :welcome: I agree with Hardy1, difficult without knowing everything involved. there will likely be changes to pipework as radiators with convector panels are usually wider. also if you have imperial sized radiators at present then they won't be a direct size swap for metric.
As to the price you have been given for the radiators, seems reasonable.
You could post on the looking for a plumber section, mention the general area you are in and someone may be able to call and quote a price.

thanks for the replies chaps.one last question would you recommend k rads or myson as there coming in at a similar price.
thanks

thanks mate, think i will go for them as the heat output is slightly more
