Hi all, I recently noticed that the top of my cast iron soil pipe had become corroded and looked like it could fall off so I cut it down and bought and adapter and the equivalent plastic fittings etc. The bracket I have purchased leaves quite a big gap between the back of the pipe and the wall where the masonry screw would be exposed. Some of the old cast iron brackets have also corroded at the insertion into the wall. Can you buy specific fittings or bolts to get a around this issue? I don't really want to replace the whole stack as the rest of the pipe is in good condition.
