Hi all,
As a competent DIYer I've decided to undertake the task of renovating the bathroom in our house. Since I want to move the bath and WC within the room so that you can shower in the bath without soaking the window, I've decided to replace the whole cast iron soil system as well.
I realise this will be a big task but I feel up to the challenge and the end result will hopefully be reward enough.
Anyway, at present the bathroom uses a two-pipe system with the basin and bath having wastes separate from the soil pipe, but I wish to replace it with a single-stack system.
I have designed the new layout and it's viewable at [DLMURL]http://www.fluvius.co.uk/bathroom/Proposed_Layout.jpg[/DLMURL]
I'm asking if those 'in the know' could cast their eyes over it and highlight any problems, pitfalls, or offer any advice.
I did read somewhere (and I quote) "it is necessary with single-stack systems to avoid one appliance siphoning the trap of another, and also avoid the possibility of WC waste blocking other branch pipes".
I think I understand what it's saying, but how can I avoid this in this instance?
Many thanks in advance,
Tony.
PS. The reason I've used Wickes fittings is because that's the closest DIY store to me!
