hi all,

A customer wants me to add (in series) an additional 200 ltr UVHWSC to the existing Gledhill StainlessLite Solar 300 ltr one. It's heated via gas boiler, Schuco solar and single immersion (immersion is approx 1/3 from the top so is just used for boosting). It also has secondary HW loop.

It's really the overheat electrical controls that I'm more concerned about.

Alternatively I could recommend he removes the 300 ltr and installs a 400 or 500 ltr.

Any advice much appreciated.

Cheers Jim

For pita factor go for one big one unless he’s using the solar side ?

he’s using a lot of hot water then ?

Jim can you not talk to Gledhill ?? They maybe able to advise you , regards Wayne

Thanks Wayne, I'll call them tomorrow.

Yeah it's a pub Shaun, they've recently converted upstairs to 4 bedrooms with ensuites with showers, no baths. And it's in the loft!!!

do they have solar panels on the roof ?

Done a few jobs like that Jim I used Rinnari direct fired water heaters , could you leave the pub and kitchen on the cylinder and put the showers on a water heater or vise versa, the biggest user or hotwater would probably be the kitchen ??
