I know you have answered these questions a million times but i need 10 posts to ask in the training section and wanted a few answers now.
I have just lost my job, i have worked in the water industry e.g severn trent since being 20, i am now 28 and want to train as a plumber as i need something a little more stable for me and my family. It was something that interested me years ago but then i started with a new contractor on more money and just had to go where the mney was at the time, now i am prepared to go skint for a while and get a "real" career.
So i have looked on all the local colleges and it looks like the path that way is apprenticeships, now i have searched for people wanting these and there all under the age of 24 years........ so that was the first hurdle, where to find this type of training.
Then i google'd plumbing courses and i am just at a loss where to start, they all claim they can train you but surley handing over your cash and getting the experiance and training ca't be that simple....... can it???
Any advice would be great on how i can get started.
