Aerator For Kitchen Mixer Tap Doesn't Screw All The Way Up!

I purchased a tow aerators for my kitchen mixer tap now but neither will screw all the way up even with the rubber washer taken out, it leaves about a 3mm gap.
Any ideas on what I can do?

If they’re universal, then you’d need to get the same depth as existing.

No it doesn't leak. The problem is the thread part of the spout come out to far. I almost want some kind of chrome spacer to fill the gap because its the gap that's bothering me.
