Alright guys, looking to buy an air compressor for testing my first fixing. I'm fed up of sittin there pumping water for 30 minutes. Do any of you guys use one and if so which one? Cheers

Please read the rules in regards to pressure testing copper( can only go upto .5 bar without major safety concerns and procedures)

Put a filling loop on it to do the initial fill, that will take it up to pressure & then you can pump by hand any extra...

I would still air test, more peace of mind knowing there's no open ends etc if the air has held at 0.5 or 1 bar for a short while!

If your worried about over pressuring the system with water (whilst bleeding the air out) use a cheap pressure reducing valve to keep the pressure down to 1 bar.

Anymore then 1.5 bar and I find its a right pig to get pushfit caps off to bleed the air out!!

Isn't it easier to leave an air vent open to de-pressurise lol...

If you're using a Rigid or Rothenberger test bucket, there are ways to make it work quicker.

Remove the inlet filter from the tube in the bottom of the bucket.
( Improves flow by about 300% )

Some of the washers that seal the bucket to the fitting have a very small hole in the washer.
Make this hole bigger.

This is what i use.
Get a little air duster aswell great for servicing gas fires gunked up with dog hair and shizzle
