Seen these are now on sale in Toolstation.

From description sounds like you can fit a double check valve if no room?

Pretty bulky looking things

 
its to stop the blue water when people use blue block eg backflow

I did some research and testing on a new prototype product for a manufacturer not a fill valve. He was telling me they were working on another item as the ones we are discussing because the rules were going change. He didn't say when but it is going to happen. I look forward to testing the new prototype/product.
