Alpha 240e hot water problem

went to see above boiler at customers. Only getting luke warm DHW, central heating fine. When call for DHW spindle moves freely and switches fine but getting flow down heating. Am i right in thinking diaphragm is ok as spindle is moving fine?

Is the diverter valve switching fully to hot water mode?
If so, the plate hx or the thermister could be the culprits.

i can see pin comes out fully and makes switch for dhw.

Making the flow switch is only part of the story, I'd the diverter is letting by or the plate hx is partially blocked or the dhw temp sensor is kaput then your hot water performance would be affected.

thanks for your help mountainman. would a blocked phex effect the flow of hot water as it is a great flow. sorry forgot to say thermister readings are spot on.

It may be blocked and not allowing the central heating water to flow round and heat the domestic flow through.
Check the differential of flow and return across the plate.
