I dont know if anyone can help me I had an Alpha combi system installed in june 06 after 12 months it stopped supplying hot water Had heat exchanger fitted. 3 weeks ago the hot water stopped again Called out Alpha they say heat exchanger is faulty again and took a water sample. the plummer who fitted it says system had sentinel applied and its not the system Alpha say they wont repair until power flushed. the water starts to get hot then cuts out after about 10 seconds any ideas?

I was wondering how easy is it to remove the heat ex and wash it out thanks

Hi Jensen, We are experiencing a similar problem, however the fine particles getting through the water filter are stopping the diverter valve from working hence no hot water after about 10 secs or so. It is interesting that in your case the particles are getting past the diverter and blocking up the heat exchanger. Have you had any progress since last year?

fit magnacleans on the system returns but your still going to need a system flush and possibly new heat exchangers
