Hi guys. In need of around 12 metres corrugated stainless tube for gas run. Anyone know of alternatives to trac pipe and where to purchase. Needs to be 28mm. I see screwfix do an inch one but on the installation manual looks like you need a special tool.

Gastite and don’t use jtm plumbing expensive for it

I see.

What about using a 6 metre length of 40mm pvc waste pipe as the sleeve?

You would have to ask gas safe and manufacturer on that

But I can’t see why not aslong as it’s gas tight eg glued

Well I tell you what. I had a right mare with this stuff today. Didn't know you needed a big cutter to cut this. Used a hacksaw and could not get a seal on it. Massive spanners to do the fittings up and I only had big old stillsons and not enough space. Wish I had gone the copper route in the end.
