Hi
Recently purchased a new property which has two worcester boilers, neither of which seem to work. I called a local plumbing company who said that in order to save me money they would repair one boiler with parts from the second boiler leaving me with one functioning boiler, which I was happy with. I told them that I basically needed the boiler to work so that the heating and hot water would work. They called worcester and found out what the error code meant and then told me that they could not use the parts from teh second boiler so I said to just get new parts then, which they did. After they had left the radiators would not warm up and the water did not heat up, apart from when the immersion heater switch was put on. They came back and bled the system which got the radiators to warm up apart from two. The two that are cold are obviously faulty so I have no problem getting two new radiators but the water still does not warm up. My dilemma is this. When they repaired the boiler they said for me to wait and see if the radiators and water warmed up and if it didn't to call them. They returned when I told them the radiators were cold and they bled the system and told me to wait to see if the water would warm up because this could take some time. The water still did not warm up so I asked them to come back and fix it but they are now refusing to come back saying that they had been asked to fix the boiler which they did as the boiler now comes on but it is not their responsibility if the boiler does not warm the water. Could somebody advise me whether this is correct. If you ask a plumbing company to repair your boiler would the assumption not be that you needed that boiler to work in order that it could produce heat and warm water??
