Guys and Girls,
I have a problem with a clients water heater, standard version. The cold inlet to the cylinder is corroded all around the thread and connection to the cylinde.
What is the chance of being able to replace the inlet pipe dip. The corrosion is pretty bad, dont think I will get a good thread to put a new one in.
Would this mean a new cylinder....?
Any help would be really appreciated.:p

From memory some had the feed coming out the top (a male thread) if this is the case can the threads be cut using a block die? Tig welding (out of position) may also be an option when viewed against cost of new,

Don't quote me on this but arn't Andrews W/H made of stainless steel? None corosive in effect. You could always offer the alternative of 'ex..£' to replace or 'ex..£' to attempt a repair.. Depends on how serious the issue I'd guess ...*s*
