Hi,
Please take it easy on me, I'm a DIY'er.
Bought a new build in 2006, ideal icos boiler installed. Last service was July. Masses of water fell out of s-trap when engineer was doing service. He cleaned out the trap etc and replaced.
All been fine up until last week when the dreaded bubbling at the flue etc. I took the s-trap off and flooded the kitchen. Cleaned the s-trap, have to say that there wasn't a lot of black stuff in there. Filled it up with water and replaced. It's been fine for 3-4 days and then same again. All works fine for a while when I drain the s-trap.
Its not the s-trap blocked as it's clear when I run water through it under the tap, and water escapes when I undo the drain end, not at the boiler end. I've stuffed a 6-foot drain unblocker though the condensate waste pipe and all appears clear.
Am I missing something? Do I need a new trap to replace old one? Or is this an engineer visit? Is the condensate pumped to waste, and therefore I have no pressure to push condensate out?
Thanks in advance.
