After 20 years in the RAF, and a brief foray into civilian management I've decided that I don't want to spend the next 20 years having to sort out everybody's issues and personal problems - and scoot up and down the M4 every day. So I've taken the plunge and enrolled with Trade Qualified for their PPC2 Course, told my current employer that I'm off (3 months notice) and am preparing for a life as being a 'man with a van'. This Forum has already given me much food for thought (and inspiration), and I'll apologise in advance for all the bone questions that I'm going to ask.

Thanks

One hell of a career change!

Welcome to the forums!

You do relaise you will be sortingo ut other peoples issues and you will hear about there personal problems whilst you are on the job

Have fun

never apologise for asking if you dont know, find someone who does and ask even if you think your rite but not shure always ask

when you get going it will be fine
if you get a client that don't paid

get one of your mates to drop a bomb on them

Thank you for the welcomes and the wise words. The sort of problems I have to cope with currently (other peoples) are the sort that you take home with you and keep you awake at night. Don't mind listening to other's woes...just so long as I can leave them at the front door! Any other problems will be self-generated, and mine alone to deal with. That's my rationale at least
