Another question about a boosted shower pump

Hi, started a bathroom referb today and also changed the cylinder, new cylinder is on the floor and couldn't be built up on anything, problem now is there is limited space around the cylinder , there is room for the pump but not a while lot, worried about air circulation around it , it would be about a inch off the wall, inch off the cylinder then maybe about 2 inches from
the door , wonder if it will be ok to put it here anyway , or is it ok to just put it on a shelf directly above the cylinder, thanks in advance

cyl should be on blocks off floor to get air circ under it if its copper! putting a pump on a shelf will mean the whole house will know when its working. Needs to be on something solid to prevent reverberation.

It's on bits of timber , I meant I couldn't get it built up high enough to the the pump under it, even with pump on the floor it's a suspended floor so it will just be on floor boards , do you think itil still work fine if it down in the confined space or above it without any altercations

If you can provide an adequate base above the cylinder for the pump to be cited on, then you should be about ok. But in doing so, you have to ask yourself if there is enough room for servicing the cylinder (removing imerssion heater - for example)

Good thinkingcTo be honest there's nowhere in the cupboard that is a good enough base it's going to be on timber no matter where its sited ,itil have to go on the floor, what if I put one block on the floor and pump on top of that,

I thought you weren't suppose to screw them down and the weight of the water and the fixed pipes hold it in place, quick question related to something else can a vent pipe coming off the coil heading to the roofspace be done in hep for a short section, or even a few hep fittings on it? I'm thinking no but if it can make my life easier

I dont know what pump you are fitting, but surely it comes with the manufacturer's instructions? Whatever advice we give is irrelevant if you have warranty issues and have not complied with MI's

Pumps make noise no matter where they are or what there sat on, nature of beast i'm afraid. as regards the vent i'd say no. vent pipes have to stay rigid under high temps...

Not some thing I would do but hep should be ok for a vent probably need a metre of copper first same as a boiler if it has an immersion

I used copper but used 2 hep fittings on I , should be ok was far to tight for any other fittings other than push fit
