anton agm 50 gas sniffer

I must be jinxed had a stressful week but to cheer myself up I bought an anton agm 50 sniffer yesterday - just got it out of the wrapping to have a play - it works great then on trying to bend the arm back and clip it into the side it spings back and the sensor end whips against my hand and the end flies off - just spent 20 min trying to find the sensor out of the end. just put it back together and it works still phew . anyone got one of these and how robust is the flexi arm looking at it if I keep bending it back so it clips into the clip on the rh side the arm will eventualy wear or snap ? also what warranty is on them.think I will have a large drimk tonight .

It's Anton so 2 years? But you need them to service ur wallet annually

Had one a few years ago, had exactly the same problem with the sensor, in the end I soldered it in to prevent losing it! flexi thing never broke, but I got a sniffer for my analyser in the end, so now sits in the garage not being used. Never had it calibrated just tested against a known gas supply every now and then to confirm operation (inlet point on gas valve usually)
