Is there anywhere to sell old boilers that are removed from customers' houses? Presumably these places that sell recon parts have to break old boilers down for new material?
I'm in the Luton area.

I take the main hx out for 1 pile, copper gors in another, same with brass. Take cables out and catalogue and store the valve, board and fan and then the case goes in to the scrap too

Same as manchester but I don't bother removing spare, all split up and down to the scrappy.

A place called adlink in hanger lane London buy boilers. £10 a combi. Wouldn't waste my time though.

it was my understanding that 2nd hand parts couldnt be used on the gas line i.e. valve, burner, isolation valves. am i wrong? ive always supplied brand new parts to my customers

They're onto a good thing there. Even a plastic Worcester has more value in scrap than a tenner.

I know. All they want is the fans and Pcb's then they scrap the rest. I have used them twice. Only because they had obsolete parts in stock. ONLY thing I would use them for.
