Got one today, think its a scam but there getting a lot better with the methods. the website looks legit and they are a registered company. Here's what I got sent....

I am immediately recruiting for Gas safe engineers tocarry out boiler instillations for a huge project suited to limited companiesor sole traders.
I have a contract with British Gas and they have asked us tofind Gas Safe registered professionals to install Boilers. There is also anopportunity to be paid £35 for measuring up the job and carrying out a surveyprior to the boiler installation.
This contract is a £50 million project which will run until2015. The reason for this project is ECO – Energy Company Obligation – whichbasically means that if the Energy Company does not reach their targets inreducing carbon – they will be fined 10% of their turnover. In this particularproject they will give away 40.000 free boilers to home owners classified to bein fuel poverty, which will help them affordably heat their homes and reducecarbon emissions.
If you chose to do the measuring up and survey, you would berequired to carry out a 2 day training course (at no cost) which would mean youwould be certified to carry out an Energy Performance Report (EPR). When you dothe measuring up, you would complete the EPR on an iPad using a speciallydesigned app.
After the job has been measured up and the survey carriedout, the boiler needs to be installed. The company will supply the boiler andvalves and deliver it to the site and you will need to supply pipes andfittings and other general materials and tools to complete the job.Please note that although on the spreadsheet full heating installs areincluded it is highly likely you will have to do this so the amount of pipingyou will be supplying is only a couple of meters for straight swaps.
As you know there is an element of electrical worked thatneeds to be done for a boiler installations, so if you have a Part PCertificate you would be wiring up the system. If you do not have thisqualification, a qualified professional will carry this out. However, couldstill install the Programmer and room stat for additional payment.
Payments for each type of installation are detailed on thespreadsheet which is attached – please check each tab.
You may know 2,3 or 4 other people that you could work as ateam with. Perhaps one person doing the survey work which would create theinstall jobs for the rest of the team.
So to proceed and be considered for this project you willneed to complete every action listed below;
§ Complete the HSE document and the Contractorsform.
§ Supply us with an up-to-date CRB – if it is notdated within the last 3 months, you can sign a disclaimer while you apply for anew one which would need to arrive within 28 days. We can apply for a CRB onyour behalf should you wish.
§ Gas Safety Registered Number or Certificate.
§ ACS Certificate
§ Insurance documents - £2millionpublic liability insurance
§ Part L / Energy efficiency certificate
(If you have a limited company with 1 or more employeesyou will need £5million employers liability insurance)
If you chose to do the survey, you will also need an Ipad tocomplete the EPR. If you have an Ipad already you can use that one.
