Has anyone fitted an Ideal Standard i.life S 50cm compact washbasin with a matching i.life S & B full pedestal?

The basin is T518501 and pedestal is T519901.

I have a problem with the pedestal boxed and packaged as the T519901 (but marked T2839 inside as below) - it does not fit and from the I.S. catalogue both the T519901 and T2839 are very different pedestals....

The three spokes under the i.life basin do not sit on the T2839, but look like it would on the T519901? As it stands (or rather does not stand), the current pedestal sent appears unsafe to fit...

Would say wrong ped
Many thanks! Yes, I believe it's been packaged incorrectly at the production end (not any distributors fault!); but trying to get an 'office person' at I.S. to understand the technical side of the ped is becoming quite challenging... A few minutes trying to put one together at their Hull distribution centre would confirm this pretty quickly...

If you email ideal standard they should be able to confirm then send that to your supplier etc

It's quite delicate, I have and they ['office person'] claim it should fit; I disagree, which is why I am trying to contact anyone who has fitted this type as I am going around & around in circles.. It's for a Hotel and the room remains unused whilst this continues, so the pressure is on...!

Despite what appears to be the wrong ped shown on the I.S. catalogue and adding to the confusion, we have now fitted the supplied ped and it fits with a good bit of silicone!

Hi - I think I am in the same position. We have ordered these for a plumber to fit for us on on Friday and just looking the same issue. Is the pedestal supposed to fit inside the spokes rather than the basin resting on top of them? What exactly did you do in the end to make it fit please?

Sounds like they winged it a bit with silicone. The weight should all be on the wall so it only needs placing at the right height and tab silicone each side at the top. Be careful for 24 hours but should be fine then.
