just wondering if anyone here has done their training at the manchester olci centre?

surely someone on here besides me has done some training at manchester olci!

cool, how you finding it so far? does charlie show his face much these days?

It's going OK, just got one workshop and two assessments to go. Charlie who's Charlie? LOL, yea he shows up now and again. Only really had him when I did the bathroom and then only saw him at the start then he disappeared for the rest of the time then reappeared at the end to asses our work.

How did you find the the whole course good or bad?

lol that sounds like the charlie i know to lol, i found the course pretty good overall. hey it got me part of the way to where i am now so it cant be to pants. i do a fair bit of work for some local builders and they are really happy with the work i do as is the building inspector lol.

the worst assessment is the lead one, but i hear they are taking that out of the curriculum soon. bloody hated the lead asessment.

how about wayne? is he still around and acting like he doesnt care about anything? lol hes a top bloke n all lol

Im looking to do a plumbing course. How much did you pay for the course at OLCI??

i was going to Dylan84, however, i was put off by the terms and conditions in particular clause 20

"completion of the course does not gaurantee your competence to peform work etc...any statement made to you by the company regarding the liklihood of obtaining work shall be treated as a matter of opinion etc...

There are a few of us banging on about NTPS Hyde. They are really good so if you are looking around Manchester its worth giving them a try.

I paid £3800 + vat for my 6129, quoted £1100 for an NVQ 6089 and if you book them both together you get a discount.
the difference with NTPS is they dont have hard nosed sales men so they dont get the people they deserve. I cant tell people enough to give them a try and save yourself money and a load of grief.

I am currently training at Manchester, how did you find the first assessment, what was the format?
