Mum's boiler (logic 24 combi) working fine since she moved in 4 months ago now only gets hot water if heating is on.

I'm not gas safe and don't touch/check anything electric.

Is it showing any fault codes ? Have you checked the water pressure ? Do you know how to do it ? Pressure gauge under Left Hand side of boiler, needs to be around 1.5.

Bit unfair fellas,

Someone must be able to give him some advice to help him out, even if they have to delicately bend the gas safe rules.
Or they could point him in the right direction as to what the problem may be

It's a tough one. I'm not gas safe, would check water side but after that It's an engineer for me.

It is not possible to delicately bend the rules mate. What’s the difference between a professional plumber asking and anybody else. Yes it is harsh but it’s the truth. Once the case comes off you have to be GSR. Sorry. However not sure if these have a filter on the cold water inlet.

What happens if the heating is off?
Warm water?
Does the flow start to get hot?
Is the dhw pipe below the boiler getting hot?

Thanks for suggestions guys I will investigate when I'm over tomorrow and answer all questions in case it's something I can sort/rule out. But quite happy to get a gas safe to visit if it's not.

Black diverter head slide pin on the side

Pull that out and the black head should pull out

You should have hot water now

Thanks.. I shall be back with answers and questions. Mainly questions.
Re-reading first post it does look like you need an engineer to look at it, but at least its working, not as it should but she has heat.
