Hi my first post here.

I have an old apollo gas boiler which had been running very well till recently.I've been having problems with my HW.

CH heating is works fine but when calling for HW ONLY on the programmer (Danfoss 4033) after 30min the water is cold however noticed the radiators were getting warmer strange thing is I could call CH / DHW separately in the past.

In our 2 bed flat we have an immersion heater in the kitchen cupboard a Granfoss pump and 3 position honeywell divertor valve (y plan) and the boiler on the wall with a water tank and expansion tank up in the loft a thermo stat is in the hallway which still turns the boiler on or off in the HEAT mode .

Recently the boiler had packed up and was not in use for a couple of month replaced the thermo stat and limit stat and now fires up beautifully.

Could any one advise us what's going wrong and why we are not getting any hot water even though the boiler fires up in both mode on the programmer.

Do I need to leave the water on for more than 30min ?

Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

its not a boiler problem as thats firing could be several things firstly it will take longer than 30mins to warm a tank but in thirty mins you should get some warmth in it most likley thing is a valve to the hotwater isnt opening one thing to check is that bthe primary flow is getting hot if no trace back to where it is hot

thanks Steve I checked the pipes and they all seemed hot to touch there is a pipe which runs underneath the divertor valve into the bottom of the cylinder this too is hot and I can hear sound of the pump running and seems like water trickling away in the pipes..any advise would be appreciate it.

I decided to keep the central heating on for longer and I am now getting hot water although

not sure why I am getting hot water when I am calling for CH only this never happened before I could call them separately without any issue.

Couple of things I have noticed the Randall 4033 programmer doesn't seem to work on the Timer position as the clock is not going round as it should be. A Honeywell 5 wire v4073a -1039 Mid-position valve is attached near the cylinder.

Any help from you folks will be very appreciated.
