hi people, ive been an apprentice plumber for 8 months now and was just wondering which is the best way to get myself on a college course or do i have to pay for it myself ?

Prices will depend on your local college, as for courses i really can't as the only course ive done has been discontinued!

You can sit at college for a few years as an "apprentice" or go the adult route, pay a lump sum and blitz it in a few weeks.

Others will appear and give better advice than myself!

or better still use the search feature for other threads as this had been asked hundreds of times now :)

Many colleges will accept adults or mature students on to an apprentiship course .
Funny part is my mate did it this way going right from level 1 but he already had an engineering degree so at nearly 40 he had to to basic English and maths ?
Ring around as he now has a busy little firm employing 2 others so it can be done .
What area are you from ?

My local college pays for the NVQ level 2 regardless of age, then if you are over 24 at the start of the NVQ level 3 They want you to contribute half to the level 3 costs.

I'm not sure about the exact costs.
