hi all,im currently studying level one plumbing basics at college and do work on site with my uncle as an apprentice, so far i have wood saw as i do alot of carpentry work aswell e.g joists and woodwork, hammer, snap knife, blow torch, solder, flux, tape measure, pipe slices, pvc pipe cutter and im getting pipe benders

It is a shame you don't get signed up with JTL training to do you 6189 NVQ as you get over £150+ worth of Monument Tool to start your collection off, all in a nice tool bag.

If you are working on site (have access to the required work to complete the NVQ) you need to be on the L2 6189 NVQ not the L1 find out how to change over.

An SDS drill and a spirit level.

That reminds me, I need a new level myself. Some idiot drop a toolbox on mine and bent it. You can have it for a fiver if you like.

Waste of time that course mate, especially if you are already working on site with a relative.
Some of you may not think it but Gas may have done this young lad a big favour, if he can quickly transfer over to 6189 L2 course he may be saved the agony of having to do all the H&S & site work related info parts all over again.
As some of you may know there is no Level 1 in the plumbing industry but the powers that be who need something for all these unemployed youngsters to do (so they do not show up as having no jobs) & the FE colleges who need a revenue stream have persuaded C&G to come up with these worthless qualifications they are tasters only & if they then go on to gain employment in our industry they then have to repeat a lot of the course work all over again, what a waste!! but even more so for the thousands who do not gain anything for these stupid short courses. :furious3:IMHO

What an absolute pessimist and shame on the two guys that liked this original comment, a user of 35 posts trying to evoke some kind of emotion out of the user base.

I would never even bothered to reply less i seen Chris.W comment and he has summed it up most quintessentially

Dan, this is the problem, brigading/circlejerk
