watched a great documentary how to build a nuclear submarine a week or so ago.I was surprised to hear that one of the senior engineers stated that due to the decline in ship building at this particular dockyard they had to start up the apprenticeship scheme there from scratch as it had been allowed to lapse they showed a young lass who was an electrical apprentice being shown along side a fully qualified spark learning on the job and a good job she was doing too.what a sorry state of affairs for our youngsters when there is obviously not enough investment for them regarding apprenticeships .:( regards turnpin
