Can be done but not commercially viable to do so for customer, may as well buy a new “engine” which will only take 1/2 hour to change.

At home however I dismantled and descaled my own with a couple of goes of DS3 - came back like new , but took ages hence the above.

It is actually in a house I'm renting. How much is a new "engine"? And can I buy off the shelf?

About £100, although just googled and saw a 9.5 for £78.
Took about three hours on and off, some waiting for ds3 to work etc so doable at home but like I say not really viable to get paid for!

If you’re renting shouldn’t landlord pay it?
