Aqualisa shower problem?

Hi Guys,

I replaced an electric shower the other day for an aqualisa energy 8.5kw. all went well with the installation, but when i turned it on it blasted water on cold but to get the shower to run hot i had to turn the dial almost all the way up which then resulted in the water flow going pretty poor, not quite a trickle but it was pretty pathetic, my question is is this a fault? i put a ballofix in the pipe work so the shower could be isolated, the electrics is all sound and the water flow from the mains is good as is the pressure, i cant understand why it has gone so so low and why the dial has to be turned all the way up. (if i set the dial to max it gets scorching hot but i have to tweek it down slightly to get it to a comfortable temp. its just the flow goes poo. anyone know why this is? is it something i did or is the shower faulty or is that just how the shower is meant to be (surely not)?

When you assembled the shower are you sure you put the dial in the right place ?

you've prob tried this but......

fitted elec shower at wkend and found grit in filter on inlet unit (even after flushing c/w feed) affecting flow dramatically, cleared it and all ok. maybe this could be affecting it.

could be grit but surely this would affect the flow when the shower is set to cold aswell. when it is running cold the power is great, it only becomes poor as you turn the dial to hot.

Buddy mains pressure too high? maybe need to fit a pressure reducing valve

hi hugh, dont think it is mains pressure being to high as the shower can take a max of 10bar and incoming mains is less than 10bar. i will keep that in mind tho as the customer did mention the old shower had a flow problem aswell, hmm got me thinking now

I have just moved into a brand-new build property and this is the shower that comes as standard. If she's also very weak. I think it is just generally a weak shower.
