Ariston Genus

Been out to an Ariston Genus 24 combi today. No hot water butcentral heating working normally, pin in the divertor valve is free and motor works when heating fires up. turning on a hot tap makes no difference to the boiler. Im leaning towards the flow switch but wondered if anyone had come across this before

red light on flow switch illuminated when hot tap on?

No.not that i csn see, it has a white plastic slide with a resistor on it thst pushes into tjhe switch, should this light up?
