Ariston microgenus he28 mffi

My brother has a Ariston microgem he28,(9 year old). He has this problem,no error code shows,but when heat is required either water or ch the boiler fires up (flame can be seen in boiler), when water is on it gets to about 30-40 deg, then flame goes out, after about 20-30secs fires back up again and keeps repeating.
any ideas what problem can be?

please see the header at top of page, as you need to get a gas safe techie in to resolve the issue, just ask if they specialise in repairs rather than installations as a lot have changed roles over the last few years.
