asbesto to pvc

Hi, got a broken collar joint on the down pipe of 4" asbestos soil stack. I dont want to replace full length as terminates through roof (night mare) obviously there is no flexibility in the existing so need fittings to insert pvc spigot and connect back on to original. Suggestions on fittings required please.

Try a Supersleeve, Hepsure adaptor or equivalent. It's like the black rubber sleeve drainage connection used to join fireclay to PVC, some have 2 large jubilee clips to tighten to make the joint, and I put some silicon inside these first as well to make sure.
Not very cosmetically pleasing but a solution all the same and they can be easily painted.

Thanks for the info, will look it up on google, I was hoping a split collar type clamp was availble on the market, would have saved me a bit of trouble, could have cut the collar out and wrapped the clamp round the pipes (if you see what I mean) and avoid inserting spigot of pvc.

You could try a timesaver drainage coupling, but as the pipe is asbestos, you will be unable to tighten it very much.
