Hi there, I have an Atlantic water-heater (model 882100). The apparent issue is that the LED is flashing - the guide next to the LED suggests that whilst lit, the unit is operating normally (smiley-face!), and if off, an unhappy-face. But this is flashing, as mentioned. Upon examining the unit further the PCB has a resistor R16 which has become very hot, and has scorched the board on both sides. Can you tell me if R16 simply needs replacing, or if some other issue has caused this to happen?

The appliance seems to still be working OK (heats water!), but I'm concerned the unit may fail in the near future and I'll have no hot water!

The Atlantic 'contact-us' option is inoperative as I have tried to contact them directly in France, and their UK people (Hawworthy) are unable to help and suggest contacting Atlantic in France!

Any help/advice would be appreciated!
