Hi all
been to replace filling loop on baxi 80 Eco today then as I filled the system back up I noticed the auto air vent leaking, my first question is this just something that happens or is it something I did when filling the system back up.
I have turned the boiler off, it is a holiday let with people coming on Wednesday, can I leave the heating off and screw the Aav cap down till I can replace the Aav?
Also been called out to this boiler twice, both times reset the safety thermostat and works again, 7 months between visits. What is the cause of this to happen?
many thanks Martyn.

Most times the AAV should sort itself out, never close the cap off, if it's still leaking after a day or so, then you should think about replacing the AAV.

I'd screw it down or fill the cap with ptfe to seal the hole till you can get a new one personally! No need to worry about it for a short period of time IMHO :)
