Auto air vents on Hot water

Had a few problems with air in my hot water recently and I was just wondering if you can install a auto air vent on to a hot water pipe?

not usually fitted on hot water systems

i know its not common practice but can you if there is no way of conecting to a open vent?

There is always a way to fit an open vent,if you do not want the pipe run, you can not have an open vented cylinder
You can not fit a auto vent to replace an open vent

You can fit an automatic bleed valve to a hot pipe to cure localised airlocks.
