Water softeners - what fun:tounge_smile:. Talk about smoke and mirrors ...

The question - does anyone know how to reset the 'History' section on the Logix controller?

I've downloaded the manual - the only reset is a total reset. The problem I've got is that I'm only getting 900 litres of soft water - not the expected 1600 (at 320 ppm hardness).

The supplier is trying to help (add more salt to the tank and increase the amount of salt used during regeneration) - but I must admit I've lost confidence in them. Basically I have to prove that there is a problem.

It is a Coral C10 with 'fine mesh resin'.

How was the 320 ppm arrived at?

If your water is harder, the total soft water volume supplied will be lower than the quoted figure for 320ppm.

The 320ppm was measured - with one of those 'keep adding drops until it turns blue' test kits. Bristol Water quotes 320-340ppm - depending on rainfall i.e. water comes from the big pond just south of Yeovil. The Logix control board calculates the capacity remaining - it says 1.76 cu meter at 330ppm. After the next regeneration I'll check what it calculates at various levels of hardness.

The question was - can I reset the 'history' parameters without having to reset the whole thing. The reason - the H7 to H13 daily totals of water useage were sensible - now they have all increased to 0.54. Strange.
